FAQ's

How did Waggin-Aire get started?
Waggin-Aire acquired a 1 1/2 year old male, Sonny, from Cyndale Kennels in Chicago,IL. in 1972. Sonny came from a dam, Ch. Cyndale Shawny Sabu, CDX, who produced 17 AKC champions, a number of whom had CD or CDX (Companion Dog or CD Excellent) titles, as well. Sonny was the foundation sire at Waggin-Aire, siring 3 nice litters. For more information on the bloodlines, please feel free to call us.

How do I acquiire a Waggin-Aire puppy?
Waggin-Aire takes requests for a puppy on a first-come, first-serve basis, whether for companion or for show. Having typically only one litter per year, if necessary, we maintain a waiting list for those who want one of our dogs. Please call us for more info.

When can I pick my puppy up?
Puppies are taken according to the order of selection normally between 8 and 12 weeks of age.

Is the puppy registerable?
And with whom?
Waggin-Aire puppies are registerable with the American Kennel Club. Companion puppies are registered on a "limited AKC registration" and will be spay-neutered by the purchaser. For select show-potential puppies this decision is deferred in the event the dog goes on to achieve an AKC championship title, and may be chosen for breeding.

Must I have a fenced yard?
The answer to this important question is yes. The Airedale needs room to excercise under supervision. A fenced yard is the best way to handle this. There are many econimcal ways available to do this.

Is a purchase agreement required?
Yes. The purpose of this reasonable agreement is simply to document the provisions/expectations under which the puppy is sold/purchased. It usually contains 6 to 9 terms, such as purchase price, whether it is a male or female, whether it is for show or not, etc.
